ユニクロの着る”UVカット”
機能性とファッション性が融合した「LifeWear」を提唱するユニクロから、オシャレとしてのファッション、消耗品としての洋服、に留まらずレディース(WOMEN)の一部アイテムのみで展開していた日焼け対策が出来る機能性としての「UVカットウェア」が、メンズ(MEN)ラインでアイテムの追加と、キッズ(KIDS)ラインでさらなる拡充で展開される事になりました。
「着るUVカット」のキャッチコピーで本格的にフルラインナップで展開されるユニクロの「UVカットウェア」は、単なる長袖だからといったアイテムではありません。
ユニクロがこの「UVカットウェア」の為に採用した「２つの技術」により、日焼けの大敵である夏の紫外線から大切な肌を守ります。
「着るUVカット」「２つの技術」とは？
UVカット成分を素材に浸透させることにより紫外線が素材で吸収されるため、紫外線が肌に届きません。
紫外線を反射させる原料を繊維に練り込ませてあるので紫外線を反射してくれます。これによりもちろん、紫外線が肌に届きません。
アイテムの素材に合わせて、2つのうち最適なUVカット加工技術が採用されています。
ユニクロが展開する「着るUVカット」の「UVカットウェア」は、繊維製品に表示される紫外線保護指数であるUVカット率を現したUPF値で明確に数値で表し（UPF15～40）理屈だけではない世界的基準値にのっとった「UVカット」をアイテムに保有させました。
※UPFとはUltraViolet Protection Factor（紫外線保護指数）の略称で、UVカットの世界的基準値。
さらに10回の洗濯でもその「UVカット」効果が落ちないことを検証済みで、紫外線吸収タイプの加工は、洗濯の回数を重ねていくと、数年で徐々にその効果が薄れる場合もあるが、紫外線を反射するタイプの加工では、繊維に反射材が練りこまれているので、基本的に効果は半永久的に持続するという検証結果が出ています。
